Happy Cinema Day

A note by Yahya Mansourmoyed

In a distant future, there existed a society called “Archive,” where all cultural works, history, and human civilization had been completely censored, and only distorted versions were available. In this world, teenagers were only allowed to learn through special devices designed to erase humanity, creativity, and history from their minds.

One day, however, a group of curious teenagers discovered an old device that showed them forbidden films and stories. As they watched these works, they gradually uncovered forgotten truths about human civilization – that humans once gave deep meaning to their lives through art and history.

This group decided to use this hidden knowledge to reconstruct the true history and search for the truth of life and human culture. However, the Archive system became aware of this rebellion and began to pursue them, unwilling to let the truth be revealed.

On National Cinema Day, I congratulate the teenagers who seek the truth and see cinema as a means of restoring humanity and civilization, as well as all the artists and professionals in this invaluable art industry who, with their tireless efforts, continue to preserve and keep alive the history, civilization, and culture of humanity. Dear friends, colleagues, and loved ones, happy day to you all! 🌟🎬

A voice message from Manijeh Pedrami

A piece by Maryam Lotfi

It is a place that allows us to experience different lives and situations that we once longed to be part of.

It is a place where we can revive the feelings that have died and been buried deep within our hearts.

A space that brings our written memories in the book of our lives to life. Memories that are filled with joy, memories soaked with tears, memories overflowing with love, and memories darkened with sorrow.

It is a place that can bring a smile to our lips in an instant. It is a place that can bring a lump to our throat in a moment. Yes! Our hearts are the dwelling place of emotions. Emotions that cannot be expressed, thoughts and ideas that can only be shared through the silent language of communication with a stranger.

Yes! Our sympathizer and companion in many situations in life is a movie being shown on the cinema screen.

Sometimes the performance of a strange, unfamiliar actor takes control of our hearts and carries it to the land of emotions—a place where feelings and memories come to life.

Sometimes, an actor’s performance in a scene that closely mirrors our current life brings peace to our hearts and minds, for we feel understood by someone.

At times, it is a comedian whose deep laughter becomes our guest and temporarily makes us forget our mental burdens.

All of us have moments in life that are shaped by the director of a film—moments painted with bright colors of joy, and moments decorated with dark shades of sorrow.

It has happened to all of us that a screenwriter has transformed the lives of his fellow beings with just one line of dialogue.

It is the set designer who, by designing the film’s scenery, brings back forgotten moments, shining them once again in the heart of the viewer.

It is the makeup artist who, with the makeup of the actors, reminds the viewer of the faces of the important people in their life—smiling, crying, angry, or scared.

Yes! It is our mistake that we don’t pay attention to the final credits of a film once it’s over, as the names of all the people we casually pass by play a significant role in creating the moments of joy and sorrow in our lives.

Yes! Cinema is the place where various emotions are preserved within its soul.

Yes! It is cinema that, with open arms, welcomes every type of affection and feeling. It is cinema that, at times, has been a companion and understanding of our hearts.

Yes! It is cinema that has gifted us some of the best moments of our lives.

I extend my heartfelt congratulations on National Cinema Day to all those who, through the creation of films, have accompanied and empathized with their fellow beings in moments of tears and laughter.
