Manizheh Pedrami
Manijeh Pedrami (Gomar), an author and creative writing instructor, holds a master’s degree in children’s and adolescent literature and has extensive activities in the fields of literature and creativity. She was born in December 1970 in Tehran. At the age of 17, she published her first science fiction novel titled Travelers of the Galaxy, marking her entry into the literary world.
Since 2003, she has been dedicated to introducing an innovative method of teaching writing to children and adolescents. Through extensive studies in children’s literature, psychology, and sociology, she developed a modern approach to teaching creative writing. Many of her students are now active in the fields of book publishing and creative writing instruction.
Her portfolio includes four collections of children’s poetry, the story collection The Book Thief, the young adult novel The Sun in Prison, and the novella Green Crystal. She has also written for magazines such as Success, World of Pen, and Nabat, hosted a live creative storytelling program on the Family Network with children, collaborated with Saba Animation Center, wrote scripts for two animations titled Poochak’s Stories and Mama Sun, worked with the writing team of the Bezabza Village series, and conducted creative writing workshops at various institutions, including the Writers’ Association, Hosseiniyeh Ershad, and the Art Bureau.
