Objective of the Game:
The aim of the “Bridges of Understanding” game is to strengthen constructive dialogue skills and create effective communication among players. Players must work together through dialogue and exchange of views to build bridges of understanding and cooperation.
Number of Players:
Minimum 4 players and maximum 12 players
Required Materials:
- Dialogue topic cards (at least 10 cards with various topics)
- Role cards (such as negotiator, active listener, analyst)
- Timer
- Paper and pen for note-taking
Game Rules:
- Divide Players into Groups: Players are divided into groups of two or three.
- Assign Roles: Each player is given a role. Roles can include negotiator, active listener, and analyst. Each role has specific duties in the dialogue.
- Select a Topic: A dialogue topic card is given to each group. Topics can include social, cultural, scientific issues, and more.
- Start the Dialogue: Each group must discuss the topic card within a specified time (e.g., 10 minutes). The negotiator should express their views, the active listener should listen carefully, and the analyst should take note of important points.
- Summary: After the time is up, each group must present a summary of their dialogue to the other groups and share the results and agreements reached.
- Scoring the Teams: Each group is scored based on the quality and content of the dialogue, the level of empathy, the final presentation, and the level of cooperation. The team with the highest score at the end wins.
- Evaluation: After presenting the results, all groups can exchange views and share their experiences with others.
- Group Exchange: In each round of the game, players are divided into new groups to interact with different people and gain diverse perspectives.
